Breathing with intention can both speedup and slow ya down. Which do you need?

Breathe in for 6 seconds through your nose, hold for 7, and let it go for 8 seconds (3-4 times) to slow down your system. Do a flutter breath (in and out through your nose super fast) to wake up and activate your system ✨✨✨.

Mindful breathing helps release tons of feel good hormones that are sleeping in your body; Sometimes our bodies are just stuck and we gotta give it a quick reminder to get off of auto pilot and into manual mode! ✨✨

Originally from Bangladesh, raised in Massachusetts, and residing in Los Angeles, Shanila is a Sound Alchemist, Scientist, and Adventurer. She uses motivation, neuroscience, and mindset techniques to reconnect your mind, body, and soul to be the best version of yourself.

For years, Shanila was overwhelmed with anxious thoughts, depression, dealing with loss, and DIS-ease, that took a huge toll on her physical body and spirit. She fell into sound healing totally by accident a few years ago when she picked up a little Tibetan Bowl to carry around with her and ding in the morning for a few minutes. This little mindful action each morning, and eventually each night, totally shifted her moods. She knew nothing about it, except the power of what was shifting within her.

Now, doused with a mixed of advanced science and a touch of woo-woo, AlwaysPlay is created to bring very easy practices to the forefront of our wellbeing. AlwaysPlay is rooted in play and helps those dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, sleep issues to get into deep states of meditation to receive all the beautiful benefits (better mood, focus, clarity, sleep - and all the good stuff).

Through sound baths, sound meditation, breathwork, community events, and private practices, Shanila brings mindful and immersive experiences for all looking to connect a little deeper within themselves. She partners with legions, shelters, universities, and groups with high stress to alleviate some of the burdens.

Her background is in women’s research, specifically in mindsets and implicit bias, perfectionism, women's health, and societal experiences supported through the National Science Foundation, National Institute of Health, and several universities. She applies powerful sound healing entrainment, breathwork, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) in combination with a decade of mindset studies to inform her work.

The Instruments

Carefully chosen instruments, including ancient modalities such 432 hz Crystal Quartz singing bowls that promote activation of the nervous system for deep healing. They are tuned to a frequency that allow us to get to certain brain states that activate deep meditation. In this state, the body’s natural healing systems are activated, the nervous system is kickstarted, and deep restorative healing happens both at the cellular and emotional level.

Sounds of nature are intertwined all through the sound baths. Research on nature, not just simply begin out in nature, but the visceral experience of sounds and texture of nature can have many implications on our mood, sleeps, and happiness. The nostalgic memories rooted in nature bring back positive thought loops as well.
